Grip Delta is a Formula 1 fan research project. It looks at where lap time comes from, and in particular it splits a lap into what the car gains through the corners (grip) and what it gains on the straights from how it deploys its energy. The 2026 rules made that second half matter far more than before, and it is the part a trackside eye cannot see.
Each race weekend the page collects itself: the schedule, a weather read for every session, predictions that are frozen and scored afterwards, the starting grid, results, a sector map, track history and a short news list. Every prediction is kept, including the ones that turned out wrong.
Grip Delta is an unofficial fan project, not associated with Formula 1, the FIA or any team. No ads, no paid links.
